We are hiring for one of our clients who is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with expertise in Angular and JavaScript. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using JavaScript as the primary programming language.
What we’re looking for:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Providing daily standups and updates to clients on project progress.
- Participating in and offering insights during meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
- Updating projects according to client requirements or based on the defined Statement of Work (SOW).
- Installing application solutions, conducting testing, fixing bugs, and ensuring smooth deployment.
- Collaborating closely with the Front-End team, with the possibility to upskill in other front-end related frameworks.
Your expertise in Angular, JavaScript, and React development, along with attention to detail and a collaborative approach, will be critical to the successful delivery of projects and ensuring that project goals and deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Daily standups with clients: You will communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, address any challenges, and respond to their questions or concerns. You'll collaborate with the project team to ensure client expectations are met and deliverables are on schedule.
- Participating in 1-on-1 meetings: You will attend 1-on-1 meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers to gather project requirements, give updates, and provide technical insights. Collaborating with stakeholders to align project goals, prioritize tasks, and resolve any technical issues will be part of your responsibilities.
- Performing project updates according to client/SOW needs: Implement client-requested updates or changes in line with the Statement of Work (SOW). Ensure the delivered software meets functionality, performance, and quality standards.
- Application installation and deployment: You will deploy and install applications on appropriate servers or platforms, conducting thorough testing to identify and resolve any functional or performance issues. Your goal will be to ensure the stability of the software.
- Pre-publishing application testing: You will test applications on servers before publishing, address bugs, and ensure proper configuration and deployment of applications. Collaborating with the development team to prioritize and address identified issues will be critical to the role.
- Bug troubleshooting and fixes: You will analyze and troubleshoot any bugs reported in the application, developing solutions to ensure the stability and reliability of the software.
- Collaboration with the Backend team: Collaborate in project planning, implementation, and troubleshooting to meet project goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Frontend Developer with expertise in Angular.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with in-depth knowledge of DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Deep understanding of Angular.js and its core principles.
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
- Familiarity with newer EcmaScript specifications.
- Experience with data structure libraries like Immutable.js.
- Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
- Familiarity with front-end build pipelines and tools, such as Babel, Webpack, NPM.
- Familiarity with modern back-end frameworks like Django.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Experience creating custom modules and components to extend AngularJS core elements.
- Knowledge of AngularJS best practices and common modules based on significant work experience.
- Strong skills in benchmarking and optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git, SVN, or Mercurial.
