Position Title: Maintenance/Grounds Technician
Reports To: Director of Buildings and Grounds
Summary Description:
The Maintenance/Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining school buildings and grounds in a condition of operating excellence to ensure the full educational use of district facilities. This position requires a broad range of skills to support safe, efficient, and well-maintained facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated skills and knowledge in a majority of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, computerized building management systems, and landscape maintenance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Certificates and License Requirements:
Must have the ability to obtain a Pesticide Operator’s License and a Lead Paint Renovation and Repair Certificate within the first year of employment.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
SCHEDULE: full-time, year round
HOURLY RATE: $18.25 - $24.05 per hour (based on experience)
