Senior Engineer, Applications & Platforms

Job requirements

Experience Range: With at least 7 + years of hands-on experience in integration middleware engineering, specifically working with platforms such as Mulesoft, Boomi, Workato, and similar tools in product environments. Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement foundational control plane services for enterprise integration and API management platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive catalogs for integrations, connectors, APIs, and policies, driving platform extensibility.
  • Manage API lifecycle processes including creation, publishing, versioning, and deprecation, delivering seamless platform updates.
  • Enforce robust API authentication, authorization, OAuth2/OIDC, API keys, quotas, throttling, and rate limiting to ensure secure access control.
  • Integrate with API Gateways such as Kong, APISIX, or equivalents, optimizing for performance and security.
  • Configure and optimize load balancers and runtime managers to maximize platform uptime and efficiency.
  • Establish and manage DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments, implementing automated promotion and rollback procedures.
  • Define and uphold CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code standards, ensuring consistent and high-quality deployments.
    • Required Skills:
  • Mulesoft Anypoint Platform
  • Boomi or Workato platform expertise
  • API Gateway integration (Kong, APISIX)
  • OAuth2/OIDC implementation
  • RBAC and multi-tenant architecture
  • PostgreSQL database management
  • CI/CD pipeline development
  • Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Secrets management integration
  • Enterprise identity provider integration
    • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Celigo or other iPaaS platforms
  • Policy engine integration (e.g., OPA)
  • Event-driven architecture and messaging systems
  • API/developer portal implementation
  • Audit and observability foundations
    • Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or equivalent integration platform certification
  • Certification in API management or cloud-native architectures (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Developer)
