Process Overview*

Finance Engineering and Data within Treasury BSM team manage, design and implement technical and data solutions supporting BSM and Cross-Treasury forecasting reporting. Supports application management and broader automation.

Job Description*

This role within the BSM FE & D team in GBS India will be responsible for supporting PALMs application which is used for Treasury forecasting reporting. Activities will also include leading identification & implementation of automation and emerging technology solutions.

Responsibilities*

• Track and identify failures in the Palms system to make sure the platform is functioning properly.

• Review overnight batches of Palms system and implement solutions in case of failures before US office hour starts

• Assisting in analyzing current data quality checks to ensure integrity and more robust system response when failures occur

• Work closely with the platform team to address issues and communicate to the concerned development teams

• Be a strong communicator when presenting results, and escalating issues

• Work with technology teams to resolve data issues or in implementation of new system capabilities.

• Continuous improvement of existing processes and workflows, identifying where emerging technology can help reduce process time and increase controls

• Understanding of automation and emerging technology solutions including data integration and visualization

  • Experience in SQL

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Proven track record of clear and concise verbal and written communication.

• Self-starter with ability to be proactive and well organized.

• Flexibility in joining meetings during EMEA and APAC time zone hours.

• Bachelor's Degree

• 2 - 3 years of experience in a relevant role in a financial institution.

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau

  • Has a natural desire to understand intricate processes while seeing the big picture

  • Good business partnering skills

  • Experience improving and automating manual processes

  • Practical experience with generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot), including the ability to frame effective prompts and apply AI outputs for accurate, relevant, and reusable business deliverables

  • Strong analytical judgment and risk awareness, with experience using AI for data analysis and executive ready insights (e.g., variance, trends), while ensuring appropriate controls, validation, and human review of automated outputs
