The U.S. Consumer and Digital Technology (USCDT) Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. At Amex Offers, we are solving complex problems at scale while delivering seamless, high-impact customer experiences. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in evolving our platform and driving end-to-end solutions that power our Offers ecosystem.

In this role, you will partner closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to align on scalable, future-ready designs. You will lead end-to-end solution design and execution, working across multiple downstream systems and dependencies to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Advances the design, development, testing, and deployment of LMM and Agentic AI based software applications and systems

  • Drives the modification, documentation, and maintenance of software to ensure high reliability and availability

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address advanced technical challenges and optimize application performance

  • Analyzes system requirements and delivers innovative technical solutions to enhance software quality and efficiency

  • Completes code reviews and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards

  • Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience

  • Knowledge of Agentic framework and tools like LangChain, Langgraph, RAG Pipelines,distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL and relational databases

  • Knowledge of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)

  • Work Experience:

  • Software engineering and development experience or a related job

  • Experience in Agentic and LLM based application design, software development, and automated testing

  • Experience in object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages

  • Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories

  • Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance)
