About the Role

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for various specialized duties pertaining to accounting.

Position Responsibilities

  • Monitors and audits inventory levels for retail, operating, supply and food and beverage items. Coordinates and performs month-end inventory counts.
  • Monitors Fixed Assets and corresponding depreciation levels.
  • Maintains financial reports, records and general ledgers.
  • Assists in month-end closing and analyzes GL accounts
  • Responsible for posting payments to accounts to create journal entries.
  • Responsible for maintaining fixed assets ledger and journal entry preparations.
  • Responsible for maintaining reports for month-end physical inventory.
  • Verifying daily credit card transactions and preparing deposits on miscellaneous income.
  • Assists in monthly preparation of financial statements, including bank reconciliation and journal entry.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for maintaining fixed assets ledger and journal entry preparations.
  • Responsible for maintaining reports for month-end physical inventory.
  • Verifying daily credit card transactions and preparing deposits on miscellaneous income.
  • Assists in monthly preparation of financial statements, including bank reconciliation and journal entry.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 10 pounds

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Two or more years related experience and training.
  • Excellent understanding of the accounting process and technical systems involved.
  • Previous casino experiences a plus.
  • Must have excellent communications skills and the ability to present statistical data in terms that are relevant and actionable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)

  • Our cash compensation amount for this role is $53,500 to $69,600 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
