As our business grows, we are looking for a Junior GL Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, modern environment.
What the role involves
- General Ledger Support: assist in the maintenance and control of the general ledger under the guidance of senior colleagues
- Month-End Closing: assist in preparing month-end closing tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Reconciliations: perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Financial Records: help calculate and record basic depreciation and accruals
- Regulatory Reporting: support the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies and internal management
- Continuous Learning: stay updated on Belgian accounting laws (BE-GAAP) and tax regulations
- Ad-hoc Tasks: assist with various operational tasks within the accounting and finance department as needed
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy-Taxation, Economics, or a related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience in accounting; internship experience is a plus
- Experience with office tools including Google Workspace and MS Office, including knowledge of pivot tables
- Advanced proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is highly preferred for the Belgian market
- A proactive team player with a collaborative spirit and a strong desire to learn
- Excellent organisational skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to deliver on time
