Description

  • Accept direction from, and interact professionally with supervisor and co-workers
  • Work with integrity and follow assigned tasks through to completion
  • Maintain a strict standard of data privacy in handling confidential employee and company information
  • Utilize time management skills to manage multiple task balancing
  • Support the human resources department by assisting with administrative duties to learn about the work being performed, and to contribute to completion of department workload
  • Learn and assist with various projects, such as HRIS system maintenance, data entry projects, onboarding and offboarding tasks, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training (both required and desired): 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required  
  • Current enrollment or recent completion of a post-high school education program in a Human Resources field

Experience:

  • 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area
  • Must have a basic understanding of work to be performed
  • Interns will work 15 – 25 hours per week; summer interns will typically work 40 hours

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and use of computer screens
  • Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements using a keyboard, mouse, and handwriting
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
