Assistant Program Manager– Residential Services | Full-Time | Ocean County, NJ
Compensation: Starting at $24.50/hour, with earning potential up to $28.50/hour through overtime and applicable shift differentials.
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm
40 hours per week (hours may shift based on program or staffing needs)

As an Assistant Program Manager, you will play an important role in helping oversee residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while supporting a dedicated team of staff.

Roles and Responsibilities
Team Support & Staff Coordination
- Provide leadership and shift guidance when program leadership is unavailable
- Assist with mentoring and supporting direct support staff, including part-time employees
- Contribute to staff feedback, coaching, and performance discussions
- Help coordinate scheduling and ensure required trainings are completed
Resident Support & Program Participation
- Support individuals in developing everyday living and interpersonal skills
- Encourage engagement in recreational, social, and community-based activities
- Assist with person-centered service planning and goal implementation
- Participate in meetings regarding resident progress and program outcomes
- Help implement behavioral support strategies and document progress as needed
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive residential environment
- Coordinate or support access to medical, behavioral, and dental appointments
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of required records
- Adhere to licensing standards, agency procedures, and regulatory expectations
- Assist during inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews
Administrative & Program Operations
- Support household budgeting and tracking of program expenses
- Complete reports, documentation, and operational paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain communication with staff, families, providers, and program stakeholders
- Assist with additional program responsibilities to help ensure daily success

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license (no more than five points)
- At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Capability to meet physical job requirements, including assisting with mobility
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and adjust hours as needed
