Location: Bangalore (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Internship (PPO / Full-time opportunity based on performance)
In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online. This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Users gave us the insight - when one use case outweighs the others, everything else seems like noise. We listened. Like how Craigslist quietly seeded a generation of focused companies & marketplaces, we began unbundling and verticalising.
Today, Lokal is a house of focused apps, many products, one mission:
to connect Tier-2/3+ India to the Knowledge, opportunities, tools and experts they’ve always deserved.

Requirements
About the Role :
We’re looking for a sharp, curious Intern Strategy to help us improve course quality and learner retention at GyanTV.
This role sits at the intersection of content, learner behavior, and product strategy.
Your core mission:
Understand why learners drop off or cancel subscriptions — and help design courses that make them stay.
You’ll work closely with content, product, and leadership teams to build learning experiences that truly resonate with vernacular Indian audiences.
Key Objective :
Reduce subscription cancellations by improving curriculum structure, relevance, and learning experience
What You’ll Do
- Analyze learner feedback, drop-off metrics, and cancellation reasons to identify content, curriculum, and engagement gaps
- Design and refine course structures aligned to the learning pace and preferences of vernacular users
- Work closely with subject-matter experts to create engaging, bite-sized, outcome-driven learning modules
- Experiment with different course formats, durations, and teaching styles (A/B testing) to improve learner retention and outcomes
Key Focus Areas (Top Priorities)
- Drive business operations and business strategy initiatives to improve program scalability and learner outcomes
- Build financial projections, business forecasts, and strategic growth plans for learning initiatives and new programs
- Scale weekend workshops and offline learning initiatives, including attending and managing sessions in person when required
What We’re Looking For
- MBA graduates or candidates currently pursuing/completing an MBA in Business, Strategy, Operations, Education, or related fields
- Candidates with a B.Tech + MBA background will be strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to convert insights into actionable business plans
- Strong inclination towards business operations, strategy, and scaling consumer-focused initiatives
- Deep curiosity about how people learn, especially in non-English / vernacular contexts
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Bonus Points
- Exposure to EdTech, instructional design, user research, consulting, or content creation
- Experience in financial modeling, business projections, or growth strategy projects
- Prior experience in startup environments, operations, or strategy roles
