Position Summary
Valley Forge Pharma is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to serve as the Drug Distributor and Facility Designated Representative (DR). In this critical role, you will oversee compliance and operational management of our pharmaceutical distribution facility, ensuring all activities adhere to state and federal regulations. This position requires a responsible individual to maintain licensure and oversee daily operations and quality standards within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Facility Designated Representative (DR) responsible for regulatory compliance and operational oversight.
- Ensure the distribution, storage, and handling of pharmaceutical products comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain facility licensure and documentation in compliance with state Boards of Pharmacy and federal agencies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality assurance and regulatory requirements are met.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies for inspections, audits, and licensing matters.
- Supervise staff involved in distribution and inventory control activities within the facility.
- Oversee recordkeeping including shipment documentation, returns, recalls, and suspicious order monitoring.
- Maintain a safe and compliant facility with adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
Requirements
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the relevant state(s) (preferably Florida and/or California)
- Current Designated Representative (DR) licensure or eligibility to obtain DR licensure in required state(s)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in pharmaceutical distribution or wholesale drug operations.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements impacting pharmaceutical distribution.
- Experience maintaining compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations and federal drug distribution standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and manage operational activities in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or PharmD degree in Pharmacy or related field.
- Experience in managing pharmaceutical supply chain or distribution facilities.
- Familiarity with NABP accreditation and DSCSA regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for regulatory liaison and team leadership.
