We are seeking motivated and dependable Shift Leads to support daily food service operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading teams, delivering excellent customer service, and helping ensure smooth and efficient operations during every shift.
Position Overview
The Shift Lead assists with overseeing daily operations, supporting team members, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and creating a positive guest experience. This position plays an important role in driving operational success while fostering a productive and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and support team members throughout assigned shifts
- Provide coaching, direction, and motivation to maintain a positive work environment
- Assist with training new hires on operational procedures, customer service, and food safety standards
- Help monitor team performance and address concerns professionally as needed
Guest Experience
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
- Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
- Lead by example in maintaining strong hospitality and service standards
Operations Management
- Assist in overseeing daily food service operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure food quality, preparation, cleanliness, and safety standards are consistently followed
- Support smooth workflow between front-of-house and kitchen operations
- Help maintain equipment and ensure safe operational practices are followed
Inventory & Food Safety
- Assist with inventory tracking, stock organization, and supply management
- Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to management
- Help minimize waste and maintain proper stock rotation procedures
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness standards
Cash Handling & Shift Procedures
- Support register operations and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, including cleaning, restocking, and securing the location
- Follow company procedures related to financial transactions and reporting
Additional Responsibilities
- Support promotions, operational initiatives, and company goals
- Assist during busy periods to maintain efficient service and team productivity
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous food service, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of food safety and operational procedures
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight when necessary
