Security Consultant - XSIAM (Detection & Migration) at IBM

Your role and responsibilities

🔸 Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead SIEM migration activities (use case mapping, data migration, validation)

• Develop and optimize detection rules using XSIAM (XQL)

• Integrate multiple log sources and ensure data normalization

• Perform advanced incident investigation and threat hunting

• Tune alerts and reduce noise using behavioral analytics

• Collaborate with SOC and automation teams.

Required technical and professional expertise

🔸 Requirements

• Strong understanding of SIEM architecture and data pipelines

• Experience in log onboarding, parsing, and normalization

• Experience in SIEM migrations, data management & integration.

• Knowledge of scripting (Python preferred)

• Hands-on with APIs and integrations

• Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Preferred technical and professional experience

🔸 Key Skills

• Strong experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM (Strong preference)

• Hands-on expertise in Palo Alto Cortex XDR (Strong preference)

• Proven experience in SIEM migration (any SIEM to XSIAM preferred)

• Experience in detection engineering and rule development

🔸 Certifications (Preferred)

• XSIAM / XDR Certifications

• SIEM (Splunk / QRadar / Securonix)

Security certifications (CEH, CompTIA Security+)
