About the role

We are partnering with a leading Swiss technology-driven environment offering modern infrastructure and a highly advanced workplace ecosystem. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their IT department with a Cloud Platform Engineer focused on Kubernetes, Azure, and DevOps practices.

You will play a key role in designing, operating, and evolving a robust cloud and on-prem platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across critical systems.

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland

Contract: Permanent

Interview Process: Intro Call + 2 client interviews (HR and HM)

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (on-premise and Azure AKS – RKE2/AKS)
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD
• Operate and evolve centralized logging systems using ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash/Filebeat, Kibana)
• Administer Azure cloud infrastructure (AKS, Entra ID, NSG, Key Vault, Azure Monitor) with strong security practices
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu, Ansible)
• Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana
• Ensure deployment, availability, and performance of middleware/data components (RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL)
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement actions
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation (runbooks, architectures, procedures)

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployments, services, Helm, troubleshooting)
• Practical experience with Argo CD and GitOps deployment strategies
• Solid experience with GitLab (CI/CD pipelines, runners, container registries)
• Proven experience managing ELK stack environments
• Good knowledge of Azure ecosystem (AKS, Entra ID, NSG, Key Vault, Azure Monitor)
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (OpenTofu, Ansible)
• Scripting skills (Bash and/or Python) for automation
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Fluent French (spoken and written) and professional English
