The Financial Controller supports manufacturing and operational controlling activities, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, cost transparency, and margin analysis.

The role provides financial support to production, sourcing, and project teams, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes.

The position also supports audit activities, internal controls, and finance process improvements including reporting automation.

Key Responsibilities

 Manufacturing Controlling

  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation and standard cost governance.
  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard manufacturing costs).
  • Maintain manufacturing cost reporting and component-level analysis.

Planning & Budgeting

  • Participate in the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Finance and operational teams.
  • Support periodic financial forecasting activities.
  • Analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecasts.

Project Controlling

  • Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and support periodic financial forecasting activities.
  • Support identification of automation opportunities.

Audit & Compliance

  • Support external and internal audit processes.
  • Contribute to inventory depreciation and warranty provision assessments in line with Swiss GAAP FER

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling.
  • 3–6 years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, and financial modeling skills.
  • Accounting experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems (experience with Business Central is a strong advantage) and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Swiss GAAP FER is an advantage.
  • English required; German is a strong plus.
