Informaton Technology Intern - IT/AI at SoLa Impact

Are you passionate about technology, problem-solving, and the future of AI? SoLa Impact is looking for a motivated and curious IT Intern to join our team this summer and help power the technology behind one of the most innovative social impact organizations in Los Angeles.

This is not a typical internship. At SoLa, you’ll work alongside experienced technologists and operators helping support the systems that drive our real estate, venture, and community initiatives—while gaining hands-on experience with modern IT tools and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence.

• Cohort 1 - Monday, May 18th - Thursday, August 13th
• Cohort 2: Monday, June 22nd - Thursday, September 17th

• Hourly Pay: $20.00-$24.00
• TimeFrame: Spring Semester ending approximately May 2025
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
• On-Site: 740 E. 111th Place Los Angeles, CA 90059

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist with the installation and maintenance of IT and audiovisual systems.
• Support audio and video equipment setup for meetings and events.
• Help maintain inventory and documentation of IT and AV equipment.
• Collaborate with team members on technology projects and initiatives.
• Participate in the testing and evaluation of new technologies.
• Provide IT support and troubleshooting for staff across hardware, software, and network issues
• Assist with system setup, device deployment, and user onboarding for new team members
• Help maintain security best practices
• Support technology projects and system improvements across the organization
• Research and explore ways AI and automation can improve internal workflows
• Document solutions and help build a knowledge base for internal IT processes

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong interest in IT, audiovisual technology, and multimedia systems.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

● Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, AI Technology, or a related field.

● Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS).

● Familiarity with audiovisual equipment and systems is a plus.

● Previous internship or project experience in IT is a plus.
