This role is the Lead OSR at the Fleet Electronic Shop (FES) Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Navy Information Operational Command (NIOC)).
Responsibilities:
Support all aspects in the management, installation, and post mission removal of all Carry-on Equipment (COE) supplied by the Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) program.
Conduct applicability Ship Checks for Temp-Alt compliance, manage related design data, coordinate with COMSUBPAC to meet fleet requirements, and assist with interface agreements such as Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Develop and maintain Class specific Ship Check inspection procedures and draft detailed reports in accordance with provided Ship Check guidance materials.
Provide the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) with all required documentation and foundation materials to support COE installations.
Provides coordination and liaison during shipboard installations among Ship’s Force, Naval Sea Systems Command, NIOC Hawaii Electronic Maintenance Officer (EMO), NSWCDD Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA), NIOC Fleet Electronic Shop (FES) Alteration Installation Team (AIT) and Alteration Removal Team (ART), other COE AITs.
Coordinate with multiple activities to provide technical assistance for isolating issues while integrating COE with Shipboard Tactical Equipment
Coordinate with the In Service Engineering Activity (ISEA), to isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with COE equipment mounting assemblies, and equipment.
Coordinate with the Activity’s Alteration Removal Team (ART) to ensure proper removal of the applicable TEMPALT and proper restoration of platform.
Identify TDP non-compliance issues, initiate and track Departures From Specification (DFS) and Liaison Action Requests as required (LAR) to meet mission requirements.
Adhere to the requirements of shipboard protocol.
Qualifications:
Fifteen (15) years of full-time professional experience working as an Engineering Technician in providing technical support related to the design, development, production, or testing of shipboard systems.
Ten (10) years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any one major shipboard system/equipment.
Knowledgeable of the Carry-on Equipment Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (COE STEI) Program requirements and mission.
Demonstrate technical competence; possess good communication skills; and be able to work independently.
Additional Information
Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of TOP SECRET.
