The Microsoft Partner Program Specialist is a member of AHEAD’s Cloud Alliances team, responsible for supporting and strengthening AHEAD’s strategic partnership with Microsoft. This role focuses on the operational execution and ongoing management of partner programs, ensuring alignment with Microsoft requirements while enabling successful collaboration across the business. The Microsoft partnership spans multiple practices at AHEAD—including AI & Cloud, Modern Work, and Security—and this position plays an important role in supporting those teams through effective program coordination, reporting, and compliance.
Working closely with the Microsoft Partner Account Manager, the Microsoft Partner Program Specialist helps drive overall program success by managing core partner activities, supporting funding and incentive programs, maintaining accurate partner data, and contributing to regular reporting on partnership health and performance. The role serves as a central point of coordination between internal stakeholders, Microsoft, and external partners, ensuring partner processes are executed consistently and that AHEAD maximizes the value of its Microsoft relationship. Through strong operational discipline and cross‑functional collaboration, this position helps support growth, alignment, and long‑term success within one of AHEAD’s most strategic partnerships.
Duties/Responsibilities
Provide operational support for the Microsoft partner programs, ensuring day-to-day activities are executed accurately and efficiently
Support deal-related processes and maintain visibility into partner pipeline and program activity
Assist in account mapping and sales alignment exercises to strengthen the Microsoft partnership among field sellers
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support partner engagement and program alignment
Funding & Incentive Support
Coordinate the tracking and administration of partner funding and incentive programs
Work cross-functionally with project teams, finance, and external partners to support funding lifecycle activities
Assist with documentation, submissions, and follow-up related to funding and incentive claims
Report on monthly rebate performance and tie incentive payments to the corresponding sales, marketing, or partnership activity
Partner Compliance & Enablement
Support partner compliance requirements, including certifications, program eligibility, and administrative setup
Help maintain partner relationships by supporting consumption tracking and partner attribution activities
Ensure partner data and records are maintained accurately across internal and external systems
Reporting & Program Health
Contribute to the development of recurring partner performance and status reporting
Monitor program activity to identify trends, risks, or gaps requiring attention
Support ongoing program optimization through accurate reporting and coordination
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience supporting partner programs or operational functions.
Required experience supporting partner programs, alliances or ecosystem operations (technology or SaaS preferred). Familiarity with Microsoft partner ecosystem. Strong operational discipline with attention to detail and follow-through. Experience with reporting, tracking, and managing multiple workflows simultaneously. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (partnerships, finance, project management, sales). Ability to work with partial US time-zone overlap
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Working knowledge of technology partner programs and ecosystem operations
Strong organizational and process-management skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and dependencies simultaneously
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, delivery, and program teams
Comfort working with reporting, tracking tools, and partner portals or systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external coordination
Ability to analyze program data, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement
Skills in business productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.
Physical Requirements
