The Role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Algorithmic Trading Engineer based in Switzerland to join our trading team. This role involves close collaboration across multiple teams within the firm, including quantitative research, engineering, and risk management. You will have the opportunity to design, refine, and deploy your own trading algorithms, while actively managing risk and investigating subtle execution and performance issues in live markets.

Location: Zug, Switzerland | Relocation support provided

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage trading strategies on a daily basis, including discretionary position sizing and fine-tuning of model parameters.
• Develop a deep, end-to-end understanding of trading strategies, combining alpha generation, execution quality, and technology.
• Build strong expertise in market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and market impact, and understand how these factors affect strategy performance.
• Leverage and expand the use of internal data and analytics to continuously improve trading performance and maintain DWF’s best-in-class standards.

Requirements

• Strong passion for trading and financial markets, particularly in digital assets.
• Master’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, physics, engineering, or computer science.
• Independent, self-driven working style with the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• High attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
