Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

I use the IKEA business priorities, knowledge of our range, graphic design and design and style trends, my national market, competition and my customers’ living situations to drive and develop solutions now and in the future in my country and in all 2D media. I inspire through the store teams and functions to achieve communication and style excellence, sales growth and profitability. I contribute to the business development regionally using my specialist commination design knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Work with all functions in the Inspiration and Communication department, Selling department and Stores to design and produce integrated asset in all media ‘Home to home’.

• Lead the process of creating and producing communication that conveys the benefits of the IKEA Concept, recommended graphic principles, regulations and national directions. All in the IKEA style and tone of voice.

• Actively support the development and execution of the commercial action plans with communication initiatives that are focused on growing the business and supporting long-term profitability.

• Coach and support internal team members and external agencies in securing high standards of visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost-efficiency and sustainability in producing and implementing all communication. Responsible for having and sharing deep knowledge and competence about IKEA communication.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about home furnishing, graphic communication and retail design trends to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise consumers through the IKEA visual identity.

• Support the planning, project management and layout production and artwork of all marketing functions and publications (including Advertising asset, Digital, Social Media, FAMILY and PR kits).

• Contribute to Commercial Activities input and assume responsibility for other marketing and graphic tasks and projects as they occur.

• Ensure all IKEA publications reflect the IKEA values and adhere to IKEA trademark and copyright concept manual and proof read all publications to ensure accuracy, consistency and clarity.

• Excellent design, communication Graphic design in all media.

• Home furnishing communication skills.

• Deep understanding of the business drivers and ability to engage others in your plans.

• Strong ability to use Creative Suite and current Web editing tools to communicate and demonstrate ideas and solutions.

• Proven track record in achieving or exceeding goals as part of a team.

• Budgetary experience – evaluate, monitor, follow-up and adjust as needed.

• Knowledge of the market and how it is affected by Global market & macro trends.

• Previous experience in a creative role in IKEA.
