Role Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing all shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant movement of materials and finished goods. This role plays a critical part in inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Pick, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately.
  • Perform verification checks before shipment release.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and required shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate carriers for pickups, deliveries, and scheduling.
  • Execute accurate ERP/WMS transactions for receipts, shipments, and inventory movements.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory investigations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
  • Ensure adherence to 5S standards in shipping/receiving areas.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure shipping documentation meets quality and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse coordination
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
  • Experience in ERP/WMS systems
  • Experience preparing Bills of Lading and shipping documentation
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Good understanding of inventory control processes
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to resolve discrepancies independently
  • Effective communication skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout shift
  • Comfortable working in warehouse/manufacturing environment
