Description

We are seeking an Enterprise MDM Architect to lead the design and implementation of our Master Data Management strategy across core domains. This role will establish identity resolution, golden record architecture, and governance standards. Experience with Reltio is preferred, but strong end-to-end MDM architecture experience in any leading platform is welcome.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Petco’s enterprise MDM strategy across Customer, Pet, Product, and related domains
  • Define golden record architecture, match/merge logic, survivorship rules, and identity resolution frameworks
  • Establish enterprise data governance, attribute-level source-of-authority and stewardship processes
  • Ensure consistent, trusted master data across POS, eCommerce, Mobile, CRM, Loyalty and Analytics platforms
  • Design scalable real-time and batch integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architecture)
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Retail Systems, and Analytics leaders to enable omnichannel experiences and Customer/Pet 360 initiatives

    • Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, MDM, or Enterprise Data Platforms
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end MDM implementations across multiple domains
  • Strong expertise in identity resolution, match/merge strategies, and survivorship logic
  • Experience establishing enterprise data governance and stewardship frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Reltio preferred (or Informatica, IBM, SAP MDG, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of real-time integration patterns (APIs, streaming, pub/sub)
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail, omnichannel commerce, or consumer technology
  • Experience designing Customer 360 or Product Master models
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (GCP, BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Experience supporting personalization, loyalty, or analytics use cases
