- Office in San Francisco
Description
Location: San Francisco, CA, US
On-site | Full-time
Compensation: $170K - $230K•0.15% - 0.30%
A high-growth, venture-backed startup based in San Francisco is seeking an ambitious Full Stack Engineer to join their engineering-driven team. This is a role for an individual who thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced environments where code deployed one night is demoed to thousands the next morning.
Our client provides an agentic Operating System for sales that closes the loop between coaching and execution. Having recently secured a $15M Series A and experiencing 5x ARR growth year-over-year, the organization is scaling rapidly. The engineering culture is defined by radical ownership, speed, and technical excellence. The team is composed of former founders and high-achievers who prioritze impact over process.
This role is strictly on-site five days a week in San Francisco. It is designed for an engineer with "something to prove" who is looking to operate with massive autonomy during a period of hyper-growth.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: Build, deploy, and maintain robust applications across the full stack using Next.js/React and Node.js/NestJS.
- System Architecture: Design and optimize REST APIs and manage complex data structures within PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Infrastructure Management: Support and scale AWS infrastructure, deployment strategies, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless delivery.
- Radical Ownership: Take full accountability for the codebase; engineers are responsible for deploying their own code, identifying architectural bottlenecks, and fixing production issues end-to-end.
- Rapid Iteration: Collaborate directly with the founders and the Head of Engineering to ship features at a high velocity, often moving from concept to production in hours or days.
Interview Process
The client maintains a highly efficient hiring process that can move from initial contact to offer in as little as four days:
- Introductory Chat: A conversation with the Co-Founder/CTO to discuss vision and alignment.
- Technical Evaluation: A deep dive into coding puzzles and architectural questions with the Head of Engineering.
- In-Person Work Trial: A one-day, paid work trial at the San Francisco office to collaborate with the engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within a high-growth startup or a fast-paced product environment.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in TypeScript is essential. Strong experience with Next.js, React, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- DevOps Literacy: Familiarity with AWS and modern CI/CD practices.
- Work Style: A preference for high-intensity, in-person collaboration. The candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and have the drive to navigate a "ship-fast" culture without heavy layers of management.
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen or currently hold a valid US work visa.
Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: High base salary and a meaningful equity stake (0.15% - 0.30%) designed to create significant wealth for early employees.
- Secondary Opportunities: Real opportunities for secondary stock sales as the company continues its upward trajectory.
- High-Impact Culture: Work alongside a team of ex-YC founders and elite engineers in an environment where engineering dictates the company’s direction.
- Team Rewards: A culture that celebrates hard work, including previous team-wide retreats to locations like Bali.
