DescriptionAre you a detail-oriented and organized individual with experience in bookkeeping and Quickbooks? Solar Alternatives, a leading energy independence firm, is seeking a Bookkeeper with experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll to join our team.

At Solar Alternatives, we are passionate about providing comprehensive energy solutions to our clients and making a positive impact on the environment. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in our accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of employee wages, deductions, and tax withholdings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial and operational issues
  • Provide support during audits and tax filings
  • Manage state license across multiple states

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping software and MS Office Suite
  • Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:

Salary DOE based on qualifications. Benefits include majority-paid medical, dental, vision and matching 401K program. Earned paid time off accrues at two weeks annually.
