The Process Engineering Technician is responsible supporting the manufacturing team, processes and equipment. The role works closely with our Production and Engineering teams. This role is 100% onsite.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure processes and equipment procedures are updated, developed and documented.
  • Perform and document complex reflow profiling.
  • Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, root cause and drive resolution of unplanned maintenance.
  • Execute DOE’s and other engineering investigation activities.
  • Provide technical training for production personnel.
  • Support production technicians and operators on machine/program debugging.
  • Investigate quality issues using data analysis and hands-on investigation to establish root-cause and drive corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities and drive improvement on tooling, fixtures and programs.
  • Drive continuous process improvements by identifying and leading projects.
  • Coordinate and maintain assembly instruction creation, control and maintenance processes.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.
  • High-level critical thinking, reasoning, analysis and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, ability to navigate and learn new software quickly and efficiently.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

·         US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • 3+ years with hands on automated equipment experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of SMT and Through Hole processes and equipment; Stencil Printing, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick and Place, Reflow, AOI, 2D/3D X-Ray, Wave and Selective Solder.
  • Hands-on experience with SMT equipment, in particular; MPM, Fuji, Koh Young, Mirtec, Dage, Vitrox.
  • Comfortable navigating Gerbers, other CAD formats, technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in an ISO9001 / AS9100 / ISO13485 certified quality management system.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-600, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.
