Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team at Frontiers. This critical role will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to strategic financial planning. You will manage a team of accounting professionals and work closely with other departments to drive business success through effective financial management.
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, analysis of financial performance, and oversight of budget management and forecasting processes. Your leadership will be key in enhancing internal controls and optimizing accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial results.
- Coordinate the annual budget preparation process and ongoing financial forecasting activities.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and ensure timely tax compliance and reporting on behalf of the company.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring compliance and successful outcomes.
- Support the finance leadership team in strategic initiatives and projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP and IFRS) and financial regulations.
- Experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail is paramount.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in a fast-paced, international environment is a plus.
