The Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team at Living Room. This role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting exceptional pizzas in alignment with our culinary standards and service expectations.
The Pizza Cook plays a key role in delivering a consistent, high-quality product while maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized station. This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and stretch dough, build pizzas with precision, and execute consistent bakes using designated ovens (wood-fired, deck, or specialty ovens).
- Follow recipes, portioning standards, and plating specifications to ensure quality and consistency.
- Monitor fermentation, proofing, and ingredient freshness to maintain product excellence.
- Set up and break down the pizza station for service.
- Maintain organized mise en place and ensure all ingredients are properly labeled, stored, and rotated (FIFO).
- Communicate prep needs and par levels to the leadership team.
- Ensure all pizzas meet Living Room’s quality, presentation, and timing standards.
- Support seasonal menu updates and new pizza launches with precision and care.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines set by Living Room and local authorities.
- Maintain proper food handling, temperature control, and safe equipment use.
- Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and compliant during and after service.
- Work collaboratively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service flow.
- Support prep, production, and other kitchen stations as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-driven work environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- A genuine passion for pizza-making and craftsmanship.
- Strong understanding of dough fermentation, stretching techniques, and baking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
- Detail-oriented with pride in consistency and presentation.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively during service.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with pizza experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of dough handling, toppings, and baking techniques.
- Familiarity with wood-fired, deck, or specialty ovens is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment.
