Description

About Flexion:

At Flexion, we're building the intelligence layer powering the next generation of humanoid robots. Our mission is to accelerate the transition from fragile prototypes to real-world humanoid deployment. We are founded by leading scientists in robot reinforcement learning (ex-Nvidia, ex-ETH Zürich) and backed by leading international VC firms. Within a few months we’ve gone from our first line of code to deploying real humanoid capabilities with our partners. Learn more about Flexion at flexion.ai

The Role:

You’ll join the AI Engineering team, and work closely with the product and engineering team members. You'll collaborate directly with customers to ensure a seamless deployment of Flexion’s policies, serving as the technical bridge between R&D and the customer’s operational reality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers to ensure a seamless deployment of Flexion’s policies
  • Retrain and fine-tune RL policies to function robustly on specific customer robots
  • Execute the deployment and rigorous evaluation of trained policies on physical robot hardware, ensuring safety and performance benchmarks are met
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of RL models for key accounts; monitor performance, manage data loops, and ensure consistent behavior across robot fleets
  • Provide high-touch technical support (on-site or remote) during critical integration phases and deployments, troubleshooting complex interactions between neural networks and hardware

Requirements

  • MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of deep learning fundamentals, in particular reinforcement learning concepts.
  • Proficiency with Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch) and physics simulators (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).
  • Hands-on experience in robotics; prior work with humanoids or legged robots is a strong bonus.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and C++, with a focus on writing production-ready code.
  • Experience with experiment versioning tools like Weights & Biases, as well as deployment infrastructure, like Docker, Linux environments, Git.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain probabilistic AI behaviors to partners and non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Familiarity with ROS2 and/or DDS is a plus.
  • Strong interest and willingness to work directly with our customers and partners,

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package
  • A front-row seat at one of Europe’s most ambitious robotics companies
  • An energetic, collaborative team with a bias for action
