Accenture Federal Services is seeking a seasoned Cloud DevOps Engineer with excellent technical background in system administration, scripting automation, and deep Linux operational knowledge to help support our high-value clients. This position requires designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based systems and applications through infrastructure such as code and automation scripting, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong scripting capabilities, is hyper-focused on customer needs, enthusiastic, a self-starter, and dedicated to the mission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and implement secure cloud-based systems and applications, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Build, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud-native (IAC) applications in AWS environments
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations and deployments
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, including NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and FedRAMP
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle
- Implement and maintain security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security
- Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications and services
- Work with a variety of cloud native tools to add capabilities and secure the platform
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across all layers of the technology stack

- Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure
- Establish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security best practices
- Reduce deployment time and increase deployment frequency through automation
- Improve system reliability, availability, and security through infrastructure as code
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of DevSecOps practices
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation to ensure efficient knowledge sharing
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and security best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and security posture
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, EBS, ALB, RDS, S3, EKS, ECR, etc.)
- Strong Linux system administration skills, particularly with RHEL/CentOS
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices
- Understanding of network architecture: VPC design, hybrid connectivity, security groups, load balancing
- Experience with security hardening and compliance implementation in cloud environments
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting system implementation

Here's what you need:
- 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or cloud platform engineering
- 3 years of experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) or CentOS administration
- 3 years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar) and CLI
- 3 years of experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- 3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- 2 years of experience troubleshooting DNS, VPN, HTTPS, and networking configurations
- 3 years of proficiency with Bash, Python, or other scripting and automation technologies
- 2 years of experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)
- Experience with containerization orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with National Security systems and Air-Gapped Environments
Security Clearance:
- Active Top-Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility
- The position may require a polygraph examination
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
