We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and scale our accounts payable function during a period of rapid growth. This role will manage a team of AP professionals and oversee high-volume, complex payables across domestic and international operations. You will play a key role in improving processes and ensuring timely, accurate payments in a complex manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Accounts Payable specialists, fostering accountability, growth, and high performance
Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments and expense reimbursements
Manage domestic and international vendor payments, including foreign currency transactions and compliance with local regulations
Partner closely with Procurement, Accounting, Legal and Finance teams to ensure proper GL coding and streamline workflows
Process and submit year-end 1099 reports and forms, prepare reports for proper allocation of sales taxes by state, and maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
Own month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting
Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to support scale and efficiency
Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve escalations in a professional, timely manner
Support audits by providing documentation, explanations, and process insights
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including at least 2+ years managing a team
A fluent understanding of the three-way matching process and direct and indirect materials procurement workflows
Experience operating in a fast-growing, complex organization
Strong knowledge of accounts payable best practices
Experience with international payments, multi-currency environments, and global vendors
Proficiency with modern ERP systems and AP automation tools (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a high-growth, deadline-driven environment with evolving priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience scaling AP processes during periods of rapid company growth

Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
