Job Description
As the AI Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the development and deployment of AI systems across Nielsen. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our AI initiatives align with ethical principles, regulatory requirements, and Nielsen's AI governance framework. Your work will involve close collaboration with various teams, including AIGC, AIWG, and risk groups, to proactively address potential risks and ensure the responsible use of AI technologies.
You will be responsible for managing AI-related risks throughout the AI lifecycle, from use case identification to deployment. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely risk mitigation, supporting the AI use case approval process, and categorizing AI risks to facilitate informed decision-making. You will play a key role in ensuring Nielsen's compliance with the EU AI Act 2024, particularly in relation to our LLM, Gemini.
Responsibilities
AI Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with both in-house developed AI systems and procured AI tools, including risks related to bias, fairness, explainability, security, and privacy.
Risk Mitigation: Work closely with AIGC, AIWG, and risk groups (Security, Privacy, Legal) to ensure that identified AI risks are mitigated effectively and in a timely manner, prior to deployment.
EU AI Act Compliance: Ensure that Nielsen's AI systems, and particularly the LLM Gemini, comply with the requirements of the EU AI Act 2024.
AI Use Case Approval Support: Play a key role in the AI use case approval process by coordinating risk assessments at each stage of the AI lifecycle and providing input to stakeholders to facilitate informed decisions.
AI Risk Categorization: Categorize AI risks into Prohibited, High, Medium, and Low risk categories to establish a clear framework for risk-based decision-making and prioritization of mitigation efforts.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate AI risks and mitigation strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and project teams.
Risk Management Best Practices: Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in AI risk management and contribute to the development of Nielsen's AI risk management framework and guidelines.

Qualifications
Education & Training
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Risk Management, Law, or a related discipline.
Certification in risk management (e.g., CRM, FRM) is a plus.
Fluency in English and local language mandatory
Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of AI technologies, including LLMs, and their potential risks.
In-depth knowledge of AI governance frameworks, ethical considerations, and relevant regulations, including the EU AI Act.
Proven experience in risk management, preferably in the context of AI, data, or technology.
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
