GOVX is a fast-growing ecommerce business with our catalog representing our largest asset.  New catalog partnerships have the largest influence and impact on GOVX’s overall company growth.  To accelerate our company growth, we are looking for a proven sales professional to join our Partner Acquisition team. The Senior Account Executive – Partnerships plays a key role in every GOVX partnership type and is integral to the scaling of GOVX's ecommerce sales channels, marketing services and GOVX ID verification services.

The Senior Account Executive, Partnerships (Senior AE) is responsible for partner acquisition at GOVX and the margin value of this new business within their POD’s categories of focus.  The Senior AE will be responsible for closing enterprise level opportunities.   Additionally, the Senior AE will be expected to support the SDR function through direction/feedback to the SDR Manager and coaching/mentorship to the SDR(s) within their sales POD.  The Senior AE will also be expected to mentor and support the Associate AEs working within their same Sales Pod helping to ensure the success of the POD in reaching their shared goals. 

Understanding how to prioritize opportunities and what will drive impact within the GOVX model is integral to the success of new partnerships.   This is a collaborative role where the individual will be required to work strategically alongside other departments including but not limited to Sales Development, Partner Management, Marketing, and Accounting. 

Success will be measured by the performance of new partners signed by the Senior AE and from within their POD.  This performance will be supported by a competitive compensation package (base+variable payout).  The role will also work with companies across multiple industries to achieve the stated financial targets through a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

Sales Execution & Pipeline Management

  • Build and actively manage a high-quality pipeline of new partners within targeted industries, ensuring efficient and consistent closes that drive margin impact.
  • Research and understand each targeted vertical, staying current on prevailing trends and market dynamics.
  • Ensure every deal offers best-in-class value to GOVX members by consistently identifying member benefits and negotiating on their behalf.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline health, close rates, and launch targets to enable reliable business projections.
  • Drive the contracting process through to execution, ensuring all agreements are accessible and compliant with company processes.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate CRM data to ensure pipeline visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with existing and prospective partners to ensure long-term success and partnership growth.
  • Provide regular reporting on pod performance, pipeline health, and key metrics to Sales Leadership and Executive Team.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead your sales pod to achieve margin and revenue targets through effective funnel management from SDR to close.
  • Mentor and collaborate with SDRs within your pod, providing feedback and direction to the SDR Manager to optimize top-of-funnel performance.
  • Mentor and collaborate with Associate AEs within your pod, providing coaching and feedback to help drive results towards any shared goals.
  • Lead by example in preparation for and participation in trade shows, conventions, and other lead-generation initiatives.
  • Demonstrate leadership by upholding GOVX’s values and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance sales efficiency and partner experience.
  • Actively prioritize tasks and opportunities to ensure optimal pipeline management and time allocation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Partner Management to establish go-to-market strategies within assigned verticals, including a deep understanding of partner assortment, value proposition, and marketing calendars.
  • Collaborate with Partner Success to ensure smooth handoffs and effective onboarding of new partners.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Contract Management to ensure all partner records including contracts, revenue records, etc. are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the creation and optimization of effective sales enablement materials and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Proven follow-through and a drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who can think strategically and prioritize tasks in alignment with company goals
  • Proven ability to prospect key clients and close business
  • Proven negotiation skills and strategy
  • CRM proficiency and experience
  • 8+ Years of relevant sales experience
  • 6+ Years in an office environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in tickets and/or travel industries is a plus

 

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements
This position will have limited travel requirements (Estimated 10%)

Performance
Performance is measured and expected to hit certain benchmarks to ensure delivery against the annual GOVX Budget/Plan.  Benchmarks will be applied to the below verticals:

  • Catalog - Net New Margin
  • Marketing Services – Net New Margin

Salary Range
$125,000.00 annual base, w/variable compensation plan
