We are looking for a highly capable and driven Senior Manager, Sourcing to join our expanding team in India. This role is crucial for establishing best-in-class service for our global Partners and Customers. The Senior Manager, Sourcing will manage a team of 2-4 Sourcing Coordinators, develop and implement sourcing solutions for Xometry’s most complex orders, optimize existing processes, and drive exceptional team performance. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of effective leadership, sharp problem-solving skills, and an unwavering commitment to discovering unique solutions for challenging orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 3-4 Sourcing Coordinators.
- Oversee daily sourcing operations to ensure efficient and effective order processing.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and execute strategies to enhance team productivity and quality.
- Sourcing Strategy & Execution:
- Ensure the team can effectively triage orders by identifying potential manufacturing and quoting issues (e.g., Tolerances, design limitations, material availability).
- Spearhead the identification and implementation of alternative sourcing strategies.
- Cultivate and manage network relationships, proactively communicating capacity gaps and constraints across the partner network.
- Identify and implement solutions for the most complex and challenging orders.
- Be directly accountable for team sourcing KPIs, including margin and time to resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service) to devise recovery strategies for assigned orders.
- Actively engage with Xometry's partner network to optimize sourcing solutions.
- Work with customers to develop recovery plans for complex orders when necessary.
- Develop and implement continuous process improvements to boost sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Training & Issue Resolution:
- Train and onboard new Sourcing team members.
- Resolve escalated sourcing issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or project management, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Leadership: 4+ years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and basic internet navigation.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus):
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks, Salesforce, Looker, and mechanical print interpretation.
