Job Description

Overview:

This person will oversee operations of the processing crew and activities in the production area.

Here's what you'll do:

• In charge of rotating break times in the area, and scheduling crew times for process, sanitation and other tasks.
• Ensures production area is operating efficiently.
• Provides Preventive Maintenance during season and off-season to all processing area equipment.
• Be aware of and comply with current good manufacturing practices regarding; proper food handling techniques, food-protection principles, the danger of poor personal hygiene and unsanitary practices
• Individual will be the lead for the receiving area crews, and should oversee all related activities.

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

• Must be able to operate all equipment in area, including conveyor belts, fruit elevators and truck lifts.
• Must be able to train employees in processing area procedures.
• Must have knowledge of other areas’ Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to provide support when required by Supervisor.
• Experience in operating automatic production equipment like conveyors, elevators and lifts.
• Experience in a Food Production Facility and Associated GMP’s desired.
• Basic computer skills, operation of MS Office Applications and Oracle Systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies and MSDS
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Forklift Certification
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
