Brand Marketing Senior Manager at David Protein
David Protein · New York, United States Of America · On-site
- Office in New York
Description
Company:
David creates tools to help people build muscle and lose fat. Our first products are protein bars, and we’re building a platform for high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.
This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.
Role:
This role will own the strategy and execution of partnerships, affiliate/ambassador programs, and brand marketing initiatives. You’ll help define who we align with, how we show up publicly, and how we build demand through collaborations, community, and brand.
This person is equal parts strategic and hands-on: building repeatable systems while creating moments that drive reach, conversation, and demand.
Responsibilities:
Partnerships & awareness
- Drive top-of-funnel initiatives that expand reach and bring new customers into the brand, which may include influencer partnerships, brand partnerships, podcasts, newsletters, Youtube, and out-of-home advertising
- Work cross-functionally to turn partnerships and brand moments into distribution across organic, paid, and partner channels
- Develop and own creative briefs that drive consistent, on-brand partner content output
- Define and track awareness success metrics (reach, impressions, engagement, share of voice, traffic, new customer volume)
Influencers, Ambassadors, & TikTok Shop
- Own David’s ambassador + affiliate strategy, including TikTok Shop affiliate commerce
- Recruit, onboard, and manage high-performing partners (creators, communities)
- Build scalable systems: tiering, incentives, expectations, and partner enablement toolkits
- Partner with Creative to produce and iterate high-performing content like UGC that drives sales
Organic social, community & social listening
- Own David’s social response strategy across comments, DMs, and public conversations
- Develop a consistent community voice and operating rhythm for fast, high-quality engagement
- Monitor sentiment, trends, and recurring objections - translating insights into content, messaging, and CX improvements
Program management, operations & measurement
- Build systems to track partner performance, payouts, usage rights, and deliverables
- Create internal processes for briefing, approvals, timelines, and asset delivery
- Share learnings and run post-mortems to improve program performance over time
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in brand marketing or a high-intensity environment (e.g., hypergrowth startup, consulting, investment banking).
- Strong taste and judgment - you know what’s relevant
- Proven experience building partnerships and/or affiliate programs that drive measurable growth
- Deep understanding of creator ecosystems and what makes collaborations actually work
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (you can close, manage, and retain partners)
- Ability to move fast and operate with high ownership in a lean environment
- Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on
- Strong organizational skills: timelines, deliverables, approvals, and partner management
- Humility, curiosity, and a desire to build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat
