Description
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Geotechnical Professional Engineer position in our Rochester, NY office.
Job Duties
- Perform geotechnical field investigations. This may include boring layouts, drilling inspections, and running geophysical surveys.
- Coordinate and assist with managing the scope of services provided by subcontract drilling firms.
- Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples.
- Perform geotechnical field inspections during the construction phase, as needed.
- Preparing and reviewing geotechnical engineering reports.
- Preparing geotechnical proposals and attending client meetings.
- Participate in meetings with design team, stakeholders, and clients.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 6 to 10+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering field.
- PE license
- Effective verbal/written communication and ability to sell our services.
- Driver’s License Required
- Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects.
