Description
As a CNC Machine Operator at BTR, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of various types of CNC machinery in a manufacturing or production environment. Your primary duties will include setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to ensure they function properly and produce high-quality products. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting any issues that arise during production and performing routine maintenance on the equipment to keep it in optimal working condition.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up machinery according to specifications provided by supervisors or technical manuals.
- Operate machinery to perform tasks such as cutting, shaping, drilling, or molding materials.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure they are functioning correctly and producing quality products.
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality and meet production quotas.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments to the process as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Keep detailed records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other team members, including supervisors and quality control personnel, to optimize production processes and resolve issues.
- Any other tasks/duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a 2-year trade school certificate preferred.
- CNC Machining Experience: Mazak Vertical experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable in G Code.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Maintain quality while meeting or exceeding production targets
- Mechanical aptitude and sound knowledge of machine tooling.
- Perform routine maintenance on modern CNC equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Must be comfortable and able to work safely and effectively around heat-producing equipment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
