The Procurement Coordinator supports procurement and supply chain operations by coordinating supplier onboarding, managing purchase orders, logistics, and vendor relationships, and serving as a liaison between internal supply chain teams and external suppliers. This role provides administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of goods from suppliers to customers, playing a key role in maintaining supply chain efficiency to support the production of autonomous surface vessels and overall production goals.
Responsibilities
Coordinate supplier onboarding, including documentation collection and system setup
Act as a liaison between supply chain teams and suppliers to support day-to-day procurement activities
Create, key, and maintain purchase orders in the procurement system
Track purchase orders and assist with issue resolution related to discrepancies, delivery issues, and invoicing
Provide office and administrative support including filing, document management, and meeting scheduling
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Compliance & Administration: Review procurement-related transactions, maintain records, and ensure adherence to company policies and applicable safety standards
Respond to internal and external inquiries with a strong customer service focus
Support general procurement and supply chain administrative functions
Perform other standard procurement coordinator duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and software; experience with ERP systems is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to the handling and storage of hazardous materials.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
Physical Demands
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day
Frequently lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs, including up and down stairs
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and overhead work involving components of varying size and weight
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day, including on uneven terrain
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, and work in confined spaces for extended durations
Ability to climb ladders, platforms, and other elevated structures while maintaining balance
Ability to identify process issues and recognize safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
