Position Overview
ICSJ is seeking a 6th Grade Head Volleyball Coach for the Spring 2026 season. This is a great opportunity for a coach who enjoys working with middle school athletes and helping them develop foundational volleyball skills in a positive, supportive environment.
Schedule & Time Commitment
- Practices: Once per week for 90 minutes
- Anticipated day/time: Mondays, 3:15–4:30 PM (flexible)
- Games: Once per week
- Friday evening or Saturday morning
- Teams: 2 teams total
- Parent assistant support will be available
Responsibilities
- Plan and run engaging, age-appropriate practices
- Teach fundamental volleyball skills, rules, and team concepts
- Lead and coach games during the season
- Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence in student-athletes
- Communicate effectively with athletic administration and parents as needed
Qualifications
- Prior volleyball playing or coaching experience preferred
- Experience working with middle school–aged athletes a plus
- Reliable, organized, and enthusiastic about youth sports
- Ability to commit to the full season schedule
