About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer / Network Administrator to join our IT team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to build hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and improving network infrastructure. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and IT staff to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network operations.
Active Secret clearance or higher required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Support day-to-day network operations, including user access and permissions
- Perform basic network administration tasks (IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
- Help maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures
- Assist with network security tasks, including patching and vulnerability remediation
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed
- Participate in system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery activities
- Provide technical support to internal users related to network issues
