Description
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for a team of high-performing, mission minded Mission Security Technicians
- Serve as the program Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mission security subjects
- Develop and maintain mission security plans, procedures, and processes
- Manage maintaining, securing, issuing and ensuring accountability for visitor restricted area badges in support of site access duties and distinguished visitor (DV) events
- Conduct security briefings to required personnel regarding visiting and escorting MDA facilities
- Ensure construction and maintenance personnel are properly badged, are briefed on security standards and are monitored within the restricted area for conformance with all applicable security policies and regulations
- Manage the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) program
- Assist staff personnel with plans, programs, and implementation of activities which may include security, logistics, visitor control, protocol events, scheduling, and test support
- Assist customer with maintaining security databases, tracking escort training and access lists to secure rooms, security containers within the facility and photographic device permits
- Create training plans in order to develop and mentor mission security technicians
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges with various members of the team and stakeholders
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with individuals, providing directions, and reporting incidents
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills are also important for accurate reporting
- Interact professionally and courteously with a diverse range of people
- Understand and follow instructions carefully and accurately
- Write clear, concise, and accurate reports of incidents or observations
- Demonstrate a strong sense of ethics and a commitment to upholding security protocols
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in management or other relevant discipline preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of general (full-time) work experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area
- 2+ years of experience working in a management or leadership role
- Demonstrable understanding of DoD escorting policies and procedures for escorting uncleared personnel in classified areas required
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Current active clearance at level Secret or higher required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms
- Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to move freely around a large facility, up/down stairs, and up/down ladders
- Must be able to perform work above ceilings and/or below floors
- Must be able to remain alert for extended periods

Salary: $116,000 -125,000
