We are looking for a creative and highly motivated system software engineer with expertise in GenAI and scripting languages to join Tegra system-on-chip (SOC) system software group to help improve the automation infrastructure used for developing the low-level boot software to meet the functional safety (ISO26262) and security (ISO21434) standards. We have a real passion for pushing the technology to its limit and creativity which will be fully tested and applied here. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring functional safety and security compliance for the system software stack used in automotive platforms/ADAS. You will closely work with experts from adjacent domains in system software, hardware across NVIDIA, product owners and customer facing teams to build the best products in the segment.
What you'll be doing:

Work closely with safety and security architects to understand the standards and develop software complying with the functional safety and security standards.

Ensure the software stack is compliant with Functional safety (ISO26262) and security standards (ISO21434).

Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the work products required for Functional safety and security compliance and participate in the internal/external assessments.

Software design and development for automotive systems firmware to take it through the product lifecycle.

Drive and build the automation infrastructure needed to improve the productivity of the team. This includes identifying the gaps, brainstorming to come up with ideas for automation and drive them to completion.

Proactively identify the risks/issues and drive them to closure.
What we need to see:

BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or related field or equivalent experience

5 years of relevant experience.

Excellent scripting skills, advanced Python programming and debugging skills using REST APIs.

Good understanding and should have demonstrated experience in the application of LLMs and GenAI in projects.

Knowledge of embedded system software development for SoC products, understands the low level boot software and boot flows in SoC products.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, good work ethics, team-work, dedication and ownership for the tasks assigned.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Understands the functional safety (ISO26262) and Security (ISO21434) standards.

Experience with automotive system software stack.

Good understanding of ARM architectural details.
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD.
