Your role and responsibilities
We are IBM ZOS (Z Operating System, DFSMS - Data Facility for Storage Management Subsystem), professional working on Z Enterprise Systems and we build the most secure systems for our Banking and Enterprise customers to deploy their mission critical applications. Also, We provide atmost security and Data management on Z systems. The mission critical applications run on zOS and all the data menagement is taken care by a product called DFSMS (Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem). DFSMS is a system software running on zOS platform which manages the DATA - End-to-end. It manages all kind of storage like Flash Systems, Disk Storage, SAN Storage, Tape Storage and Network Attached Storage and seemless moves the data across various storage based on the Data storage policy/management. Our IBM z/OS customers heavily rely on the stability of the DFSMS product and new innovative features which can enhance thier user experience and bring in effeciency.
Required technical and professional expertise
Position Requirements
Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in software development and systems programming
Proven experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:
Functional/component testing
System testing
Integration testing
Technical Skills
Strong programming expertise in:
JCL
REXX/CLIST
Python
Experience in automation development and front-end UI testing.
Knowledge of Mainframe Assembler (HLASM) is an added advantage.
Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting complex issues.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment.
Schell scripting, Job log analysis, abend analysis tools. AI-driven automation testing, AI/ML knowledge, AI automation and other test automation frameworks like Selenium etc. Knowledge of Gen AI will be an added advantage.
Capability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Dump analysis using Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS); ability to interpret logs and system dumps.

o JIRA (issue tracking)
o Rational Team Concert (RTC) (collaboration and change management)

Exposure to AI-driven testing tools and frameworks for enhancing test automation and predictive analysis.

Understanding of AI/ML concepts to support intelligent defect detection and anomaly prediction in mainframe environments.

Ability to leverage AI-based analytics for optimizing test coverage and improving system reliability.
