ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting new role at the intersection of campaigning, marketing and advocacy in the Brussels bubble. You will be the architect of our digital presence, responsible for building our online brand. We are looking for a hybrid strategist and creator—someone who can translate complex policy goals, issues and nerdy data stories into engaging, persuasive, and targeted social campaigns that resonate with a political audience.

If you thrive on innovation, understand how to leverage social media for policy outcomes (not just awareness), and have a proven track record developing and executing successful content strategy, this role is for you.

This role is a Level 4, and reports to the EU Director.

Applications deadline: 15th February 2026.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Social Strategy & Campaign Leadership

  • Platform Ownership: Develop, implement, and manage a high-impact EU social media strategy working in close collaboration with global and regional teams to ensure content is coordinated on secondary/global platforms, where necessary/appropriate.
  • Paid Social Campaign Execution: Design, execute, and optimize targeted paid promotion campaigns to ensure our content reaches the political, policy, and influencer audiences we need to engage.
  • Goal-Oriented Planning: Align all digital activities directly with our overarching policy-change goals, defining clear KPIs.

Content Curation & Creation

  • Story Sourcing: Establish systematic processes for identifying and sourcing compelling stories from our internal assets, including policy papers, data visualizations, field activists' stories, and expert insights, as well as working with external partners to amplify their content.
  • High-Impact Drafting: Curate, draft, and schedule engaging and highly persuasive content (text, visual concepts, video scripts) tailored to the political audience and platform best practices.
  • Creative Assets: Collaborate with internal/external design partners to transform complex data and policy arguments into visually stunning and shareable creative assets.

Community, Influence & Asset Management

  • Influencer Engagement: Identify, build relationships with, and manage digital influencers and policy thought leaders to amplify our messages and integrate their voices into our campaigns – including taking the lead on bringing our online champions offline for advocacy-driven events.
  • Digital Community Building: Cultivate and manage an engaged, targeted digital community of key stakeholders, experts, and influencers who can support our policy objectives.
  • Leveraging Internal Experts: Develop a system to train, brief, and leverage our in-house policy experts, activists, and leadership as authentic voices for our social media presence.

WHAT YOU BRING TO ONE:

  • Minimum of  6+ years of experience in a content strategy or social media role, preferably within a fast-paced agency, tech, political, or advanced advocacy setting.
  • Proven expertise in running successful campaigning initiatives (including paid promotion) on professional platforms, with deep familiarity with LinkedIn required.
  • Creative vision and demonstrated ability to translate complex, nuanced subject matter (e.g., policy, data) into sharp, engaging, and persuasive content for a high-level political audience.
  • Experience building and managing a targeted digital community and proven success working with high-value influencers/thought leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure campaign performance against policy objectives and iterate quickly based on data.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills in English (other relevant European languages are a strong asset).
