You Are:
The Digital Engineering Lead is a senior-level position responsible for driving the strategic growth of the Digital Engineering capability and advancing business outcomes for Accenture Federal Services (AFS). This role combines technical leadership with business acumen to deliver innovative engineering solutions that meet federal client needs. The Digital Engineering Lead will oversee the integration of cutting-edge technologies, enhance functional capabilities, and align engineering practices with organizational and client strategies.
The Work:
- Functional Capability Development:
- Drive the evolution of AFS's Digital Engineering capabilities, including systems engineering, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and digital twin technologies.
- Develop and implement engineering frameworks, models, and best practices to ensure alignment with federal standards and client requirements.
- Drive innovation by working with alliance partners and exploring emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance engineering solutions.
- Business Impact:
- Partner with leadership and business development teams to identify and pursue growth opportunities in the federal market.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their challenges and design tailored, mission-critical digital engineering solutions.
- Deliver measurable business outcomes by aligning engineering initiatives with client goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Project Oversight and Execution:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on large-scale, complex projects.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, compliance, and contractual requirements.
- Oversee the lifecycle of digital engineering projects, from conceptualization to execution and maintenance.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of digital engineers and technical specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration across functional teams.
- Act as a thought leader by representing AFS at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in combined systems engineering, digital engineering, information technology and related disciplines.
- 7+ years of experience with large-scale systems engineering, performing analysis and development of systems engineering products.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Deep knowledge of model-based engineering, digital thread, digital twins, and related technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive both functional and business outcomes.
- Current or eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance
- The ability to work onsite depending on engagement needs
Bonus Points If:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with federal acquisition.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and platforms, such as CAD/CAM, ALM/PLM, BIM, MODSIM (e.g., MATLAB or Simulink), MBSE (e.g., Cameo or Enterprise Architect), Toolchain integrations, and Digital Twin/Thread.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, IoT, and cloud-based engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Agile and DevSecOps
- Certification in Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP); The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Certified Architect; OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP); or Hyperscaler Cloud certifications

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
