ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Maintenance Tech.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout facility and grounds.  With some supervision will perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting. Working with contractors.

Pay: $42/HR
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Purpose Statement

  • Responsible for mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout facility and grounds.  With some supervision will perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting. Working with contractors.
  • Responsibilities:

  •  
  • Performs building maintenance as required, i.e. painting, plumbing repairs, etc.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities equipment, i.e. air compressor, HVAC system, etc.
  • Will work from rough sketches and drawings.
  • Oversee contract work.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with ISO, GMP, and company policies.
  • Respond to facility alarms, excursions, and emergency situations, ensuring systems return to operational standards quickly. Being able to be on call and work after hours.
  • Support cleanroom environmental controls, including pressure differentials, temperature, humidity, and particle monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to support cleanroom operations and continuous improvement.
  • Follow all cleanroom contamination control procedures, including proper gowning, sanitization, and cleaning protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs.

  • Qualifications:

  • • At least 5 years of experience in Facilities Technician or equivalent related functions.
  • • Strong knowledge of HVAC, filtration systems, and building utilities.
  • • Basic understanding of electrical, fire alarm systems and control systems.
  • • Familiarity with ISO 14644 cleanroom classifications and GMP regulations (preferred).
  • • Ability to follow SOPs and detailed maintenance procedures.
  • • Proficiency in using hand tools, test instruments, and maintenance equipment.
  • • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • • Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or cleanroom environment (manufacturing, pharma, biotech, or semiconductor experience preferred).
  • • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and preventive maintenance programs a plus.
  • • OSHA safety training (Lockout/Tagout, confined space, PPE) preferred, complete knowledge of the job.  Applies thorough knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area, strong knowledge of HVAC system and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
