We are looking for a Senior Lawyer who is detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative team player to join our Legal team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment and is excited to provide strategic legal counsel, ensure compliance, and support Xsolla’s business objectives. Strong analytical skills, exceptional verbal communication and drafting abilities, and deep expertise in corporate and commercial law are essential, along with experience in the gaming industry and fintech (including payment processing). Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, including fintech and crypto
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including partnership, licensing, employment, and vendor agreements
- Advise on compliance with US and international laws relevant to the gaming, finance, and technology sectors
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training to ensure ongoing compliance
- Represent Xsolla in legal proceedings, regulatory inquiries, and negotiations as needed
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and assess impact on business operations
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior legal team members
Qualifications & Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with California state bar
- Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a technology or gaming company, or at a top law firm
- Deep knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
- Experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements
- Strong business acumen and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- High ethical standards and sound judgment
- Experience with international legal matters and data privacy is a plus
- Preferred Strong understanding of Google Suite and Atlassian tools
