Overview:
We are looking for an exceptional designer to join our team in San Francisco. You will guide the vision, strategy, and execution of Ivo’s design system while managing a small team of designers. You will work across Product and Engineering to build a system that elevates product teams, one that enables rapid iteration without sacrificing coherence, taste, or craft.
What You’ll Do:
Create, maintain, and scale component libraries, design tokens, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards
Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Ivo’s design system.
Partner closely with Engineering to ensure system adoption, alignment, and implementation quality of the design system
Develop workflows that improve designer and developer collaboration, such as Figma libraries, documentation, and quality checks
Shape internal best practices for design documentation, guidelines, and cross-team collaboration
Constantly raise the bar for design craft and execution
What you bring:
6+ years of experience in product design, design systems, or front-end/UI engineering
2+ years of people management experience (designers, engineers, or cross-functional teams)
Experience building design systems for SaaS platforms
Deep expertise in Figma, component libraries, tokens, variants, and systematic file organization
Constantly learning and adapting to the rapid changes AI brings to UI/UX
A proclivity to adopting and experimenting intelligently with AI tools
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate system rationale and implementation guidance
Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and high expectations for craft
A portfolio that demonstrates how you’ve shaped scalable design patterns, systematized complex UI challenges, and delivered cohesive experiences
