An established power engineering organization is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to support expanding transmission and grid modernization initiatives across the Southeast. This role offers a balance of design leadership and hands-on technical work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support high-voltage transmission line design efforts
Provide technical leadership and responsible charge support
Review engineering deliverables for accuracy and quality
Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors
Assist with construction support and site visits as needed
Technical Focus:
69kV+ transmission line design
Structure layout, foundations, grounding, and sag/tension
Bill of materials and cost estimating
Software: PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, MFAD
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Electrical)
5–7 years of transmission line engineering experience
PE required, or EIT in progress to getting PE.
Familiarity with utility standards and field construction practices
