This leader will be responsible for directing the strategy, technology, and day to day operations of the IT Commercial Systems team that supports Sales, Marketing, and Services at Veeva. The leader will co-own and support the digital transformation strategy for these groups with Veeva’s business unit executives, including the CFO. The leader will manage a team of PMs, BSAs, developers, and systems administrators and report to the CIO.
What You'll Do
Create a strong partnership with the executive leaders in sales, marketing, finance, and professional services
Lead the technical side of the enterprise digital transformation program to move Veeva to a new generation of CRM, SFA, and PSA systems custom built on Veeva’s unreleased X platform. Partner closely with product leadership, providing direct feedback on features and functionality
Direct a portfolio of enterprise projects in direct partnership with the business, and contribute to the overall IT enterprise portfolio management process
Set the technology strategy for adding other business entities into the core commercial IT systems
Ensure the business’ vision and digital transformation objectives are collectively considered in establishing the 1-3 year plan for Commercial Systems, negotiating effectively among additional senior stakeholders
Lead a team in establishing a repeatable process for maintenance releases, architecture strategy and changes, sprint planning, environment management, and user support
Set strategy for supporting a worldwide user base that uses a suite of applications built on the Veeva platforms
Serve as a senior advisor to the CIO, assisting with the establishment of the IT strategic objectives
Effectively recruit high quality team members to support Veeva’s growth
Follow industry established process for change and release management for public companies governed by SOX requirements
Requirements
Large scale technology transformation leadership experience in sales and marketing
Core understanding of business sales, services, lead generation, and marketing processes, including a solid understanding of demand generation technologies
Successful leadership of various technology projects with accountability to senior business executives
10+ years of technology management experience
Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to excellent customer service
Successful in dealing with both executives and engineers
Must be able to legally work in the US
Nice to Have
Good understanding of AI technologies in SDLC process
Enterprise CRM experience
Familiarity with Marketo marketing automation solutions
Solid understanding of data architecture and data science
Understanding of Global Subsidiary processes/challenges

Compensation
Base pay: $150,000 - $250,000
The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
